Three colleagues from Vitax and their four-legged friends were amongst the record-breaking number of fundraisers at this year’s Garden Re-Leaf Walk to support Greenfingers and Garden Re-Leaf Day.

Starting and ending at Wyevale Worlds End Garden Centre in Aylesbury, over 100 walkers and 30 cyclists took to their respective routes raising over £15,000.

Vitax’s national sales manager, Mark Butler, was amongst those who took part in the five mile walk.  Mark was joined by Ralph Fitter and David Griffiths who both followed the 20 mile trek across Buckinghamshire, along the Grand Union Canal and around Wiltstone Reservoir.

Despite using a GPS tracker the intrepid duo got lost four times along the route, but still managed it in just six hours, one less than 2018.

“This is the third year that Vitax has supported Garden Re-Leaf and we are delighted to be part of an event where the whole gardening and horticulture sector come together for such a great charity,” says Mark Butler.

“Greenfingers create the most beautiful and interactive gardens for children hospices and this year’s turnout was fantastic. Raising over £15,000 is a huge achievement and Vitax is proud to be involved with such an initiative.”
