This year, for the first time Vitax Limited has become a sponsor at the Garden Media Guild Awards as it supports the ‘Practical Columnist of the Year’ category.

Celebrating the best in horticultural communications, the GMG Awards recognise the talent, skill and inspiration of garden media professionals, individuals and organisations from across the industry.

Open to everyone who generates or writes gardening content, the awards seeks to acknowledge the contributions of not just the Guild’s members, but also aspiring and new talent.

Commenting on the award sponsorship, Vitax’s chairman Paul Gooding, says: “The Garden Media Guild Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the role and importance the media have within the industry.

“Gardeners are always looking for new techniques, products and advice. The ‘Practical Columnist of the Year’ award champions journalists who can easily convey practical horticultural techniques and engage readers with fresh seasonal content, which inspires and prompts gardeners into action.”

The awards dinner will take place at The Savoy, Thursday 21 November 2019.
