Stepping out for Garden Re-Leaf
Enthusiastic walkers from Vitax have once again put their best foot forward as they took to the hills to raise essential funds for the Greenfingers charity. Part of Garden Re-Leaf Day, the intrepid fundraisers and their four-legged friends, walked the 20 mile route through Chilton, Oxfordshire.
A major feature of the garden and horticulture industries calendar, Garden Re-Leaf Day has raised over £600,000 in the UK since it was launched in 2012. Participating in the walk since its inception, Vitax is proud to support Greenfingers as it continues to improve the lives of children in hospices through creating magical gardens and outdoor space for the whole family to explore. Since the charity was founded over 20 years ago, it has completed almost 60 gardens, including the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden.
Over 100 people took part in this year’s event on Friday 13th March, which included either a 10 or 20 mile walk, up to 100km cycle route plus individual garden centre fundraising activities.
