Christmas Jumper day for Save the Children

The Christmas Countdown has started in style at Vitax this year as it celebrated Christmas Jumper Day.

An annual fundraising event, everyone donned their festive knitwear to help raise essential funds for Save the Children by participating in a host of activities, including the competitive Christmas Quiz.

Vitax has been supporting a variety of local charities throughout the year, and in addition to the funds raised on Christmas Jumper Day, the teams have collected a range of toys and gifts which will be donated to Lancashire County Council Child Services.

Carl Welsh, Vitax’s Managing Director, says: “Christmas Jumper Day is one of our favourite fundraising events of the year. Not only is it a great way to raise funds for Save the Children, but also an opportunity for our teams to come together and support our local communities.

“The generosity of everyone this year has been humbling and we are proud to fund-match the donation made to Save the Children.”

The donated gifts were collected by Louise Lewis, Lancashire County Council Child Services, who commented: "Thank you again from all of the staff at the Children Family Wellbeing Service and on behalf of the families we support."
