Vitax is delighted to announce it has appointed a new Managing Director to drive forward with its ambitious growth plans.

Carl Welsh, who has been with the company for eight years, took over the reins at the beginning of the year from Daniel Wilkinson as he moved to become Managing Director of Hortifeeds International - a new commercial division within the Synchemicals Group.

Earlier this year Carl was instrumental in the expansion of Vitax’s production facilities and will now steer Vitax as it continues to adapt to the growing needs of its customers.

“Understanding our customers is essential and Carl’s experience of managing the complete supply chain and pressure points ensures he is best placed to take the business forward,” says Paul Gooding, Vitax’s Chairman.

“Over the past couple of years we have needed to adapt as a business to meet the growing demand for our products. Carl has played a huge part in that change and with a new team in place we can already see potential areas for growth.”

Carl will head a new look team which includes Mark Butler, who was appointed National Sales Manager for Vitax last year, Bryan Cooper stepping up as Key Account Manager and David Griffiths who has been promoted to Marketing Manager.

“It is an exciting time to take over the helm at Vitax as the recent expansion has seen an increase in sales and we are encouraged by the demand for our products,” says Carl Welsh, Vitax’s new Managing Director.

“The challenge is to harness that growth whilst continuing to deliver what customers want – high quality products and in-centre product marketing support.”
