OARS Curative – Organic Acid Removal System
The ultimate solution for water repellent soils and localised dry spots, OARS Curative is a patented combination of an organic solvent and a surfactant complex. It is proven to be effective in removing the accumulations of hydrophobic organic substances that coat the surfaces of course-textured sand particles, causing them to become water repellent.
Water repellency in soil is caused by the build-up of these organic coatings on soil particles, mostly as a result of naturally occurring microbial breakdown of organic matter, such as thatch and plant tissue, bonding to the soil particles.
OARS Curative contains an organic solvent that weakens these chemical bonds and causes them to flake away via the process of hydration.
In addition, the surfactant components of OARS Curative attach to the hydrophobic soil surfaces and thatch to provide uniform movement of water through the soil matrix. This creates patterns of wetting and re-wetting that improve the amount of water in the soil to meet the transpirational and metabolic needs of turf grass.
Test results have shown a 27% reduction in humic substances for sand soil surfaces treated with OARS Curative.
Surfactant activity is long lasting meaning that only 2 ~ 3 applications per year are required.

- OARS 190 – 225ml OARS in 8 litres of water to cover 100 sq.metres
- 19 litres OARS in 800 litres of water per Hectare
