 We have been in the business of manufacturing home and garden and amenity and horticultural products for over 100 years, and we are very proud of our long tradition. During this time we have established a reputation for producing a comprehensive range of products with the emphasis on quality and cost effectiveness, and it is a policy that we wish to pursue for many more years to come.G H Richards, established in 1880, manufactured a wide range of insecticides and garden sundries. These were marketed from 1947 by Synchemicals Limited, which promoted the now well known brands of Nippon, Scent Off, Green Up and SBK to the gardening public.  The purchase of the Vitax fertiliser business in 1988, along with the move to larger purpose built premises in Coalville, Leicestershire, heralded a next stage in the Company's development. The Synchemicals name was replaced in favour of the Vitax brand and through the 80 's and 90's we built a substantial port folio of garden and professional products.In 2005 Vitax acquired the business of Supaturf, whose leading brands in professional sports amenity compliment and enhance our existing products in this growing market both in the UK, Europe and worldwide. |
