House and Garden Plants The Nippon range is not suitable for the control of insects on house and garden plants. We recommend you use our Py Range of natural garden and household insecticides. These contain natural pyrethrum and are available in powder, liquid concentrate and ready to use 'trigger spray' forms.
Py Powder is usually the most suitable for ants nesting around the roots of plants. It is not persistent and like all the Py Range has label recommendations for use on and around food crops.
When ants are found climbing over the plants themselves, this normally indicates the presence of aphids, from which the ants will be harvesting the honeydew. The Ready to Use Py Spray Insect Killer can be used for individual plants to control the aphids, forcing ants to go elsewhere for their food. For larger areas, the Py Spray Garden Insect Killer concentrate will be more suitable.
