Ants Problems Outdoors Nippon Ant Killer Liquid will only be effective if feeder ants are actively seeking food for the nest. Nippon Ant Killer Powder or Nippon Ant & Crawling Insect Killer aerosol and Nippon R.T.U Ant & Crawling Insect Killer trigger spray should be used to treat all species which become a problem, particularly where they appear to be nesting near the home. During mid July to August the whole ant colony will be preparing for the mating flight and will lose interest in feeding. The ants become very excited as the new queens and males prepare to disperse. In these conditions only contact products such as Nippon Ant Killer Powder, Nippon Ant & Crawling Insect Killer aerosol or Nippon R.T.U Ant & Crawling Insect Killer trigger spray will be effective.
Ants can cause damage to plants by nesting within the root system and care should be taken when treating red, wood or yellow lawn ants as they can inflict an irritating bite. The Nippon range is not suitable for use on food crops. For this we recommend one of our Py Range.
